Appendix 4: List of Goods Prohibited from Entering and Goods Allowed to Enter

Ⅰ Goods prohibited from entering
1. According to the 5th piece of regulation of Quarantine Law on Entry/Exit Animals and Plants of PRC, the following goods are prohibited from entering:
(1) Pathogens of animals and plants (including strains and viruses), destructive insects, and other harmful organism;
(2) Animals, plants and their products from epidemic spread country and region;
(3) Animal carcasses;
(4) Soil.
2. According to regulations of List of Plants Prohibited from Entering of PRC, the following plants and plant products are prohibited from entering:
Corns, soybean seeds, tomatoes tubers and their reproductive materials, elm genera seedlings and cutting woods, pine genera seedlings and scions, rubber genera seedlings and buds, tobacco genera reproductive materials, tobacco leaves, wheat (merchandise), fruits, eggplant family vegetables (eggplants, chili, and tomatoes), pathogens of plants (including strains and viruses), destructive insects, harmful organisms, other transgenic biological materials and soil.
3. According to regulations of List of Animals, Animal Products and other Quarantine Goods Prohibited from Carrying or Posting into China, the following animals and animal products are prohibited from entering:
Animals: chickens, ducks, golden pheasants, owls, pigeons, quails, birds, rabbits, white rats, mice, guinea pigs, squirrels, chipmunks, frogs, snakes, lizards, crocodiles, earthworms, snails, fish, shrimps, crabs, monkeys, pangolins, lynxes, honey bees and silkworms;
Animal products: semen, embryos, fertilized eggs, silkworm eggs, raw meat, bacons, sausages, hams, salted meat, smoked meat, eggs, aquatic animal products, fresh milk, whey powders, animal skins, mane, bone trotter, blood, blood powders, oil and organs;
Other goods: strains, viruses, pest species, cells, serums, animal specimens, animal carcasses, animal waste, and other things polluted by pathogens.
4. Blood products, waste products, and other goods prohibited from entering.

If exhibitor takes along those above-mentioned goods, please take the initiative to turn over those goods to inspection and quarantine officials for treatment.

Ⅱ Goods allowed to enter but required to declare to the customs and quarantined by inspection and quarantine institutions:
1. Seeds, seedlings, and other reproductive materials, tobacco leave, cereal grains, and soybean (required to go through quarantine examination and approval procedures before entry);
2. Fresh flowers, cut flowers and dried flowers;
3. Plant sample, exhibits and specimens;
4. Dried fruits and vegetables, salted vegetables, and frozen vegetables;
5. Rattan, willow, grass, and wood products;
6. Pets such as dogs and cats (one person can take along only one pet, with immune certificate of rabies and quarantine certificate issued by the quarantine institutions of departure place; after entry, the pet shall receive an isolated quarantine of 30 days within a special place designed by inspection and quarantine institutions);
7. Imported goods of special demand such as human blood and its product, microorganism, human tissues and biological products.
